We will see the picturesque range Polonyna Borzhava (the highest peak is the mount Stiy 1681 m) – the longest Alpine grassland (polonyna) of the Transcarpathians, the mounts Polonyna Runa (1479 m) and Lautanska Golitsa. We will discover the local picturesque mode of life, architecture and national cuisine. The route is extremely filled and spectacular, positive emotions and wonderful photos are guaranteed.

Meeting in Lviv, organizing moments, getting on a train to Volovets, the regional centre of the Transcarpathian region. Arriving in Volovets and moving to Pylypets by a rented bus.

After breakfast we start discovering the range Borzhava, walk to the foot of the mount Gimba (1491 m), climb this mount and the mount Magura-Zhyde (1518 m). After lunch on the range we walk down to the village Izky and return to Pylypets.

First this viilage was mentioned in the written documents in 1463. On our way to the homestead we will see a well-preserved wooden church with a belfry built in 1762.

The range Polonyna Borzhava – is a mountain massif on the Polonyna range of the Ukrainian Carpathians. It is more than 50 km long, 34 km wide and up to 1681 m high. Borzhava is the longest polonyna of the Transcarpathians.

We continue discovering the range Borzhava without rucksacks. Using the cableway we save our forces for climbing the highest peak of the range – the mount Stiy (1681 m) and the mount Velykyi Verkh (1598 m). After lunch (dry ration and hot tea) we wil see the waterfall Shypit. We return to our camp by the evening and have supper. We may have a bath on wood in the neighbourhood.

On this day we leave hospitable Pylypets and travel to the viilage Lumshory in the Perechin region of the Transcarpathians by a rented bus. Our second base will be here. On the way we stop in the village Verkhnya Grabivnytsya and visit the underground defensive bunker of the line “Arpad”, made in 1938-1943 by Hungarian Troops forming part of fascist Germany, for blocking the Red Army on all important Carpathian passes towards Europe.

In Lumshory we have lunch and walk to the waterfall Partizan (6 km from the homestead ). We return to the village by the evening.

In the morning we take water, warm clothes, dry ration, a good mood and climb the mount Polonyna Runa (1479 m), which is famous for a neglected rocket base on the peak. The views from there create the pictures of the far future.

We come back to the homestead in the evening. On our way, if time allows, we visit lake Komsomolskoe (839 m).

The day is dedicated to the enthralling climbing the mount Lautanska Golitsa (1374 m) through the untrodden tract Forest Panskyi. This route shows the unique beauty of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

We return to our base by the evening. There is a chance to take a bath of mountain herbs or “to be boiled” in the vat with hydrosulfide mineral water.

After breakfast we leave for the station Svalyava and get on the train to Lviv.
